Another Rising Star of Dharmarja College, Kandy has taken the name of the school along with his talents beyond the ocean, to bring honour to the Mother Land. This young Bright star is Bharatha Rankothge in grade 10, a born gifted with many talents in variety of fields of study. The below mentioned Achievements of Bharatha shows the Real wisdom he possesses. International & National Level Won a higher Distinction Award at Sri Lankan Mathematics Contest – 2010, became Island First in the IMC team Selection test and was a member of the ‘Sri Lanka – A’ team which won two Bronze Medals at International Mathematics Competition held in Incheon, Korea from 25th to 29th July 2010. Became one of the Four Winners of National Competitions ‘Let’s Take Care of Sri Lanka – 2010’ and participated in “Children and Youth International Conference for the Environment – ‘Let’s Take Care of the Planet’ held in Brazil from 05th to 10th June 2010, as a Sri Lankan Delegate. Participated in Elementary Mathematics International Contest held in Denpasar, Indonesia from 26th to 31st May 2006, representing Sri Lanka. Obtained 178 Marks in the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2005 and secured the District Rank 02nd. Other : Was a Member of the Team adjudged ‘The 01st Runner-up in the Inter-School Quiz competition “Minds of Tomorrow 2010”. Was awarded the Prizes for the Best Student Grade06, 07&09, in the Prize-giving for the years 2006, 2007 and 2009 respectively. Has obtained First Places for Essay Writing in College Arts Festival and the certificates in College English Days.
