Prize for the Best All rounder is awarded to Yasith Mathangasinghe who contributed much towards the activities of the voluntary societies of the college, while showing excellent performances in his academic career, he was able to win several National level competitions in Chess, Western Music and Dance, Science Quiz, General Knowledge Quiz and Essay writing. Won Gold and Silver Medals at National Olympiads. Represented Sri Lanka at the 1st,2nd and 3rd International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics Competitions in 2007,2008 and 2009 and was awarded an Honorable Mention and a Diploma in Astronomy and Astrophysics, Special prize for the most creative solutions, went up to the final level of Professor Brahim Prabash Memorial Quiz Competition. Became Island 1st at the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination ,Island 6th at the G.C.E O/L Examination, Obtained 3 distinctions at the G.C.E A/L Examination held in August 2009 in the Biological Science Stream securing the Island rank 4th and got selected to the Faculty of Medicine.
