Deputy Principal Lt. Col..S.K.B.Weerakoon received his primary and secondary education from St. Anthony’s College, Katugastota. He distinguished himself in the field of sports as well as in academics.
Mr.S.K.B.Weerakoon joined the teaching profession in 1972 as Mathematics-Science teacher and served in a number of schools in Kandy and Anuradhapura districts.
In 1988 he came to Dharmaraja College. Here he served in many capacities as a teacher until his retirement from government service as the Deputy Principal of Dharmaraja College on the 3rd September 2013.
He was the master in charge of the Dharmaraja College Cadet Corps for four years and during that period under his guidance the College won the all Island second and third places in 1989 and 1991 respectively.
In 1990 he was appointed as the master in-charge of the College senior Rugby team.
From 1991 to 2000 he was in active service of the Army and served the country through the national cadet corps. In 1994 he became the first principal alias the first commander of the newly started Rantambe Training Center.
He joined Dharmaraja College again in 2002 as the Deputy Principal. As the Deputy Principal he served the College in many ways. He used his experience and management skills to the fullest to bring credit to the College in a vast range of fields.
